The Brisbane Heat has retained the same 13-man squad that defeated the ladder-leading Melbourne Stars last night for its season-defining clash tomorrow with the Melbourne Renegades at Marvel Stadium.

The Heat will go into the game buoyed with confidence in the wake of their 71-run win over the Stars at the MCG last night that lifted them into fifth spot.

The Renegades inflicted a humbling loss over the Heat at the Gabba a week ago but a composed all-round team effort against the Stars has Brisbane heading into the final game of the regular season with their season alive.

Star import AB de Villiers top-scored with 71 from 37 balls while Marnus Labuschagne finished 24 not out from 13 balls. The bowling group was led by leg-spinner Mitch Swepson (3-31), spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman (2-11) and paceman James Pattinson (2-17).

Matches today will still have a bearing on the make-up of the Finals.

The Heat game will be broadcast on Channel 7, FOX Cricket and through Kayo streaming subscription.
