Sri Lanka National Cricket Team on Sunday (29th March) made a financial grant to the Homagama Base Hospital, to buy Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE) for its health Staff.

The national team led by Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne made this donation following a request made by the Hospital, which is operated as a treatment Center for Covid-19 suspected patients.

According to the hospital, the Personal Protective Equipment’s (PPE) will be used by the health staff, directly in contact with the suspected Covid – 19 patients.

It is our duty as sports personalities to come forward at this moment of time to help the country, which needs contribution from every corner to fight out this deadly virus,” said Dimuth Karunaratne.

Just a few days ago, the National Cricket Team also made a financial grant to the Colombo General Hospital to buy a video Laryngoscope, which is a primary medical equipment used to treat Covid – 19 patients.

In addition, our national players are constantly supporting the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic via their Social Media Platforms requesting the fans to remain safe.
