Brisbane Heat fans doing their Christmas shopping in the CBD will be greeted by a supersized Chris Lynn as the club prepares for a tenth campaign in the KFC Big Bash League.
The mural, located on Albert Street in the Brisbane CBD, celebrates one of the BBL’s biggest stars and the Heat’s captain, Lynn, in an iconic pose – raising his bat in recognition of an electric century.
The artwork will be seen across December and January as the Heat prepare for the coming season that will see 11 BBL games played across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with the teal club to feature in seven prime school holiday fixtures, with the South East Queensland run of matches to start on Wednesday December 23 when the Heat host the Adelaide Strikers at the Gabba.
Tickets for the BBL|10 season are available through Ticketek with early sales indicating the school holiday fixtures are set to be a hit with families this summer. The club face the Melbourne Stars in their season opener tonight in Canberra from 6:15pm AEDT, with the action live on Fox Cricket, Kayo and the Seven Network.
