Hales recognised by match umpires as second-best player of BBL|10

Sydney Thunder star Alex Hales has polled second in the KFC BBL|10 Player of the Tournament voting.

Player of the Tournament votes are awarded by the officiating umpires after each of the 56 home and away matches.

Hales polled 20 votes, just two votes behind winner Josh Philippe.

The big-hitting English opener is the current BKT Golden Bat leading run-scorer with 543 runs, including a highest score of 110 from 56 balls against the Sydney Sixers.

Hales has achieved that at a strike-rate of 161.61, the best among the top 25 run-scorers. He’s also pocketed the record for the most sixes in a single season.
