More than 550 students involved in the Thunder Leadership Program in past nine months

More than 550 students from eight schools across the Thunder Nation have participated in the Thunder Leadership Program since the beginning of Term 3, 2020.

The free four-week program aims to empower young leaders and help them develop a sense of self-confidence and community connection.

Each session features a combination of practical cricket activities and theory-based workshops, with a focus on dreams and goal setting, managing expectations and leadership skill development.

Three schools – two in Western Sydney and one regional school – have also piloted the online version of the program.

The online Thunder Leadership Program was developed in partnership with Burn Bright to enable remote and regional schools to access the program.

The Thunder Leadership Program is supported by the Cumberland Council who encouraged three local schools to take part in the program.

The Club has also partnered with Multicultural NSW to further engage students from a culturally and linguistically diverse background across Western Sydney and regional NSW.
