Cricket Scotland: Annual General and Extraordinary General Meetings held on 28 April

Must Read

The Annual General Meeting of Cricket Scotland was held virtually on Wednesday 28 April 2021. Phil Yelland of Murrayfield DAFS CC was elected President Elect and Sai Majid of Renfrew CC was re-elected as a Member Director. The Annual Accounts for 2020 were approved. The likelihood of a significant deficit, in these exceptional times, for 2021 was reported; any deficit would be funded from the reserves built up in recent years. Subscriptions for 2021 were also approved at the same level as for the past few years (bar 2020 when they were waived due to the pandemic).

An Extraordinary General Meeting was held immediately after the AGM and the two resolutions proposing changes to the Articles of Association of Cricket Scotland Holdings Limited and the Statement of Primary Responsibilities of that company and Cricket Scotland Limited were approved. As reported in the email sent to all clubs on 27 April, the third resolution regarding the proposal to permit payment of fees to a future chair (if deemed necessary) had been withdrawn due to an error in the wording but a very useful discussion took place amongst the attendees on the proposal. The matter will now be taken back to the Board for further consideration and, if thought fit, for resubmission to the members at another EGM
