USA Cricket Chief Executive, Iain Higgins, said, “It is important to establish a robust, nationwide domestic sanctioning process as we seek to unify the cricketing community and grow the game across the United States.  This will allow us to more effectively support, promote and align all of the existing efforts that are being made across the country within a cohesive calendar that benefits players, supporters and league administrators, and makes the domestic structure stronger.

We encourage all event organizers to ensure that any cricket being played in the USA has been formally approved by USA Cricket or meets the criteria to be ‘deemed approved’ pursuant to the procedure set out in the regulations.

On behalf of the USA Cricket Board, we would like to wish all leagues, volunteers and administrators who work so hard to make these domestic events possible every success with their events and thank them for their ongoing support.”

The process of domestic event approval is a continuing one, and there are plenty of other administrators who have sought approval for their events.  Further updates of this nature will continue to be made as the season continues. A fully up to date list of the cricket events that are to be played in the United States that have been sanctioned by USA Cricket under the regulations can be found in the ‘Approved Cricket‘ Section of the website.
