Shawn Bradstreet extends his contract for a further two seasons

Sydney Thunder’s long-time BBL Assistant Coach Shawn Bradstreet will continue in that role for a further two seasons under new Head Coach Trevor Bayliss.

Bradstreet, who has been part of the Thunder set-up for the past six seasons, said it was an awesome feeling to sign the extension.

“I love the club,” Bradstreet said.

“Trevor Bayliss coming on board is exciting. I played under TB as a player (with the NSW Blues), so I’m really looking forward to working with him as a coach now.

“Playing under him, he was a really laid-back character. Nothing seemed to faze him. He had great composure which I feel flowed into the team.

“The experiences that he’s had over the last few years on the international circuit will definitely bring some different things to our squad and I’m looking forward to seeing what they are.”

In partnership with former Head Coach Shane Bond, Bradstreet helped guide the Thunder to successive BBL Finals campaigns across the past two seasons.

Bradstreet also joins the NSW Blues this season as a Coaching Consultant, primarily working with the fast-bowling group.
