Must Read

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Dee Thakur.

Dee was one of Cricket Namibia’s true stalwarts. He started his career as a development officer taking the game of cricket to the outlying regions of Namibia. He worked his way up to become the National Coach and ended his fruitful career as High Performance manager and Coach Education coordinator of our organisation.

Dee had a significant role to play in the lives and development of countless players and coaches. Our condolences is with his wife and children. We wish God’s hand and calmness over them in this time.

Dr. Rudie van Vuuren: “Dee Thakur: Friend of many, enemy of none”

Laurie Peters: “Dee was a kind, friendly, generous and lovely person. He certainly left a legacy in Namibian cricket”

Daneel van der Walt: “What a wonderful and gentle friend to loose. It was privilege to do life together”

Helga Volschenk: “Heaven has gained another angel”

We will sincerely miss him.
