As the first ball of The Hundred approaches, here’s what you need to know ahead of all the action.

Tomorrow sees the start of cricket’s most exciting new competition – The Hundred – when Oval Invincibles Women go head-to-head with Manchester Originals Women in the first ever The Hundred match-up.

It’s a chance for both teams to get off to a fast start in the race for The Hundred Final on 21 August at Lord’s and a first chance for cricket fans to get involved in the action and entertainment on and off the pitch.

With just 100 balls, every one counts and the world-class cricket stars of Oval and Manchester’s squads will ensure the pace will be red-hot from the start.

Tomorrow’s clash sees the Originals’ England stars Kate Cross and Sophie Ecclestone, the world’s best T20 bowler, face off with international teammates Tash Farrant, Mady Villiers and Fran Wilson. Expect some big-hitting excitement from South Africans Lizelle Lee and Mignon du Preez as they look to lead the Originals past an Oval team that features their fellow Proteas Dane van Niekerk, Marizanne Kapp and Shabnim Ismail, one of the fastest bowlers in the world.

Better Off Without You and Last Time singer-songwriter Becky Hill will also be performing to add to the incredible atmosphere at what is sure to be an unmissable experience.

You’ll be able to watch on BBC2 and Sky Sports Main Event from 6pm on Wednesday 21 July but there’s still time to get your tickets below.
