Reporting to the Content Manager, Broadcast, you will be responsible for overseeing the live coverage of matches produced by Cricket Australia and ensuring the continual growth of these broadcast assets.

You will also contribute to CA Films’ non-live/ documentary slate and help to further develop our organisation’s internal production capabilities.

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable media professional to join our Broadcast and Production team. This producer role will have a live events (preferably sport) background, with experience working across media, digital and broadcast.

Specifically, You Will Be Responsible For

  • Working with the CA broadcast team and third-party contractors to produce live coverage of domestic competitions across the summer of cricket. This will include:
  • Contracting and managing commentators for CA-produced matches.
  • Liaising with state and territory association teams to ensure all at-venue infrastructure (scaffold/ scissor lifts) and feed deliveries are in place before first ball.
  • Managing the creative direction of live broadcasts.
  • Ensuring all commercial obligations are met in-broadcast.
  • Ensuring production budgets are met and invoices are paid on time.
  • Providing support to the in-house documentary production team (CA Films) outside of season.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • An enthusiasm for cricket across all levels.
  • Experience producing coverage for live events – preferably in the sports industry.
  • Experience working in media, digital and broadcast.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
