Queensland Cricket has forged a relationship with Australian energy provider Alinta Energy that will encompass the State’s four elite teams.

The reigning champion Queensland Bulls and Queensland Fire teams will carry the Alinta Energy logo on their New Balance playing apparel this summer while Alinta Energy will become the naming rights partner of the Brisbane Heat Membership Program which covers the BBL and WBBL.

Queensland Cricket is the first State cricket body which Alinta Energy has partnered with, supporting their Platinum partnership with Cricket Australia which kicked off in July 2018.

Alinta Energy Executive Director, Retail Markets Amanda Hagan is excited by the new partnership.

“We are delighted to be able to extend our involvement in cricket through this partnership with Queensland Cricket. We look forward to supporting Queensland Cricket, their members, fans and grassroots cricket community by providing value and affordable energy options.”

Queensland Cricket CEO Terry Svenson welcomed Alinta Energy as a partner.

“It’s exciting to have a successful Australian-based energy company on board with Queensland Cricket,’’ he said.

“As well as the very visible association with our successful teams like the Bulls and the Fire and the Heat club, we are delighted that the partnership with Alinta Energy will extend through to our clubs and associations and our participants,’’ he said.

“This partnership will allow clubs and associations to access competitive energy offers to help them operate efficiently as volunteer-based organisations and take advantage of cost savings to improve their facilities and the services they offer.”

“It will also provide our participants at the grassroots with the opportunity to make savings on their regular power bills, which is an important incentive for cricket to be able to offer.”

Svenson congratulated Alinta Energy on their initial involvement in the BBL and WBBL.

“Becoming the naming rights partner of the Brisbane Heat Membership program also allows Heat members and their families to make savings on their power bills through supporting a club partner.”

“We look forward to working closely with Alinta Energy and delivering outstanding outcomes for all involved,’’ he said.

The Bulls will sport their new-look playing strips from next week when they open their Marsh Sheffield Shield and Marsh One Day Cup competitions against Tasmania at Ian Healy Oval.
