PURPOSE

Do you have the passion and desire to support 5,000 affiliated clubs across England & Wales in connecting their communities and changing lives through cricket?

Cricket clubs and leagues play a crucial role in the experience and enjoyment of around 2.5 million cricketers. 

As stewards of the game our aspiration is to support clubs in connecting communities and improve lives, all with the aim of inspiring generations to say: ‘Cricket is a Game for me’.

This exciting position will play a crucial role in implementing key campaigns and clubs support initiatives that support our vision to create ‘clubs of the future’

Key to our success is galvanising the thousands of cricket clubs, leagues, and communities behind this plan to ensure the long-term health and prosperity of the recreational game across England and Wales. You will play a key role in supporting volunteers to inspire generations to say: ‘Cricket is a game for me’

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • You will support a project team in the building and implementation of ‘clubs of the future’.
  • You will oversee and develop new and existing club support programmes.
  • You will design and manage several training programmes and initiatives to tackle national challenges facing our club cricket network.
  • You will coordinate various aspects of our communication to the club network.
  • You will drive greater insight across the club network and will implement an annual satisfaction survey, providing feedback on local and national support.
  • You will work closely on the roll-out of the Volunteer Action Plan.
  • You will be pro-active and responsive to the challenges and opportunities facing the club network.
  • You will ensure that Play-Cricket and the player CRM programme continues to grow in adoption and value.
  • You will champion a diverse and inclusive cricket network.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand, analyse and act on information accordingly.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • An adaptable working style with high levels of emotional intelligence.
  • Project / event management skills and a proven track record of delivering results.
  • The ability to bring people together and create collaborative communities that could extend the league, club and county network.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • A deep understanding of the cricket network and challenges the game faces across different areas of England and Wales.
  • A contagious passion for cricket or recreational sport
  • A “can do” attitude and a strong team player.
