CSA: Free State Cricket Union (FSCU) saddened by the passing of young Free State player Nathan Greyling

The Free State Cricket family is deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of FS Youth Player Nathan Greyling on Tuesday. Nathan was an avid sportsman and academic and strived to achieve to the best of his abilities. Nominated at deputy head boy of St Dominic’s he represented Free State Cricket at U/13B in 2016 and U/17 Rural in 2019.

The President of FSCU Xander Snyders commented: “It is with shock to learn that the Free State Sport fraternity lost a young sport star. FSCU mourns the lost of a great cricket player that was a true leader on and off the field. Rest in peace Nathan we will miss you. Our sincere condolences to his parents, family , teachers and friends.  FSCU prayers are with his parents , family and friends in these difficult times.”

The CEO of FSCU Johan van Heerden added: “It was with great shock and disbelief that we heard about the fatal accident that Nathan was involved in. Our sincere condolences for his family in this terrible time. We wish them all the best as they are in our prayers. He will surely be missed by all of his cricket family.”
