This exciting role has been creating to support our EDI and communications team create meaningful work that celebrates and promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion across cricket.

Focused heavily on communications campaigns, you’ll create and deliver first-class work aimed at changing consideration of cricket from new audiences, showcasing stories from across the game or generating content that educates and inspires.

Applicants to this role will require strong experience in the communications space, with confidence to plan and deliver external media campaigns and internal activations in the EDI field.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF

  • You have experience working on campaigns that have delivered change and driven consumer interest. You’ll understand how to challenge mindsets, drive behaviour change, or simply just grow consideration – and you’ll be aware that to create cut-through, creativity is key.
  • You’re a highly capable communicator and influencer in person and in writing, able to bring complex and sensitive subject matter to life for different audiences, using a variety of different channels and mediums
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills and an exemplary track record developing and managing relationships with stakeholders internally and externally and expertise across earned, owned, unpaid and loaned channels.
  • You’ll have a passion for new channels and exploring alternative ways to reach audiences and you’ll understand the need for us to ‘think outside the box’ when delivering our work.
  • You are organised and insightful to understand how to drive maximum impact through the development and delivery of high reaching communications and engagement strategies.

YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Working to ensure we engage effectively with our colleagues, stakeholders and external audiences in order to promote equality, diversity and inclusion, and equitable outcomes,
  • Communicating across stakeholders with diverse perspectives and understanding of EDI issues
  • Creating and leading campaigns to build education, pride, engagement, understanding and passion for delivering on our Inspiring Generations purpose.
  • Putting your diverse audiences at the heart of your work, gathering insight, working to understand lived experiences, and placing campaigns and content where they can see it
  • Working cohesively with our press office team to ensure campaigns resonate across a wide range of channels that reach both core and new audiences.
  • Collaborating with other ECB departments (Marketing, Digital, Commercial etc. to create joined up campaign moments with impact.
  • Keeping across all trends and developments and best practice in EDI campaigning
  • Putting measurement at the heart of your work. Setting and measuring campaign KPIs throughout.

YOU’LL HAVE

  • Experience of working in communications, policy or campaigns and a track record of leading effective communications or stakeholder work.
  • A passion for collaboration to write and build innovative and challenging content
  • A keenness for networking and building relationships with key influencers and industry spokespeople
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation
  • Resilience in an environment that is fast paced
