Fans encouraged to bring a toy to Sydney Showground Stadium to help kids in need share in the festive season

Sydney Thunder is asking fans to bring unwrapped gifts to Sydney Showground Stadium on Sunday 12 December when Thunder take on the Melbourne Stars to support the Westmead Children’s Hospital’s Christmas appeal.

TICKETS ON SALE NOW | KIDS FROM $5 | FAMILIES FROM $50

The gifts will be given to patients who have been in hospital for a long time, are away from their families and loved ones, or don’t have family nearby to visit.

In what has been such a challenging year for all, those who have been affected by illness and had long stays in hospital have had it extra tough. Restrictions on visitors to hospitals has put strain on families and patients and will continue to do so over the festive period.

Thunder is committed to making a real and meaningful difference to the community and is encouraging fans and members to embrace the season of giving as well.

Gift Guide:

– For children ranging from toddlers to young adolescents

– Please ensure gifts aren’t wrapped (need to be visible for security reasons)

– Please no food gifts

– All donated gifts must be new (due to infection control, we are unable to accept second-hand gifts)

Thunder will have a collection point set up at Gate D for collection of gifts and monetary donations.
