The Melbourne Stars can confirm WBBL Head Coach Jarrad Loughman will not be offered a contract for WBBL|08.

Loughman has performed a number of roles at the Melbourne Stars across the BBL and WBBL since the inception of both competitions. He took over from Trent Woodhill as WBBL Head Coach at the beginning of WBBL|07.

Melbourne Stars General Manager Blair Crouch said:

“I’d like to thank Jarrad for his contribution to the Stars WBBL team as head coach last season.

“It was a particularly difficult season to navigate, played entirely away from Melbourne and Victoria and we thank him for his leadership and support of our squad whilst away from home.

“We will now commence a worldwide search for a Head Coach for WBBL|08.”

Loughman will continue in his role as Head Coach of the Victorian Women’s Cricket Team.
