The Melbourne Stars have today launched Team Green, the club’s new environmental initiative.

The Stars are committed to using the power of Australia’s national game and the most watched sporting league in the country to help promote and educate our players, staff and fans about environmental sustainability and reduce our impact on the planet.

Adam Zampa will be the Stars Team Green Ambassador.

Team Green is made up of four main pillars to ensure that we are a more environmentally conscious organisation.

  • Facilitating greater environmental awareness among staff, players and fans
  • Reducing our use of plastic and using more sustainable materials
  • Initiating and participating in projects that have positive environmental outcomes
  • Funding sustainability projects via the Melbourne Stars Foundation

The first of our projects that we will take part in is Schools Tree Day on Friday 29th July, so look out for updates via the Stars’ social media channels.
