The Melbourne Stars are pleased to announce that Aussie Broadband have extended their partnership with the club for the upcoming WBBL and BBL seasons.

Aussie Broadband is an award-winning Australian company with more than 500,000 residential, business and enterprise customers, and is the fifth largest provider of NBN services in Australia.

The company embarked on its first ever sporting partnership with the Melbourne Stars ahead of BBL|10.

“We’re honoured to continue our partnership with the Melbourne Stars and look forward to working with them in the coming season,” Aussie Broadband Managing Director Phillip Britt said.

“BBL|12 and WWBL|08 are set to be the competition’s biggest event yet. We’re thrilled to continue supporting such brilliant athletes, not only as they change the game on the national stage, but off the pitch through great ventures like Team Green.”

“Nothing brings in the Australian summer quite like cricket, and we’re looking forward to supporting the Stars around the country, especially when the WBBL debuts in the Latrobe Valley later this year.”

Aussie has been recognised as the Customer Service Organisation of the Year, Large Business – Australian Service Excellence Awards (2020, 2021), CHOICE Magazine’s Best NBN Provider (2021, 2022), Mozo’s People Choice Awards for Broadband (2022, 2021, 2020, 2019), Roy Morgan Internet Service Provider of the Year (2021, 2022) and at the Telco industry awards, including the ACOMM Award for Diversity and Inclusion (2021), Commitment to Customer Service (2020, 2019), Edison Award for Best Broadband Provider (2018), and the Edison Award for Best Fixed Broadband Provider (2019).

Aussie Broadband branding will continue to appear on all BBL playing and training uniforms, complemented by a range of activations at games and Stars community events. Aussie Broadband’s branding will also appear on the WBBL jersey sleeve.

General Manager of the Melbourne Stars, Blair Crouch said:

“We’d like to thank Aussie for their amazing continued support of the Stars and we’re looking forward to working with them again, during what is hopefully a return to a normal season after a challenging few years.

“We’re naturally buoyed by their belief in the Stars and we’re looking forward to being able to work closer than ever to connect more Australians to Aussie Broadband.

“We love the work that Aussie do throughout the community, which is especially strong throughout eastern Victoria, which is Stars heartland.”
