The array of silverware earned by Australia’s champion Women’s National Team will be on display at Weber WBBL matches in four cities from tomorrow.

Fans will be able to take their photo alongside and learn about seven trophies and medals at matches at Allan Border Field, Blundstone Arena, CitiPower Centre and North Sydney Oval, plus the Weber WBBL|08 Final, as part of the game’s commitment to strengthening links between grassroots, the WBBL and international cricket.

The display will include:

  • The Women’s Ashes
  • The Rose Bowl
  • Australia-India Trophy
  • ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022
  • ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020
  • Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Gold Medal
  • WBBL Championship Trophy

Each trophy or medal will be housed on a specially designed structure which will feature an explanation of its history, key stats and its significance to the women’s game.

The initiative is another celebration of the role of women in our game, following the recent announcement of Australian Cricket’s inaugural Women and Girls Week, to be held from November 21 to 27 alongside the Weber WBBL|08 Finals

Alistair Dobson, Cricket Australia’s General Manager, Big Bash Leagues, said:

“Australian Cricket is incredibly proud of its Women’s National Team, who have achieved unprecedented success at home and abroad in recent years.

“The WBBL has played a major role in underpinning this success. We are honoured to bring these trophies and medals to fans in Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney, to further strengthen the links between grassroots and the elite.”

Fans can view the display at matches on the following dates:

  • Allan Border Field, Brisbane: October 27 and 29
  • Blundstone Arena, Hobart: November 3, 4 and 6
  • CitiPower Centre, Melbourne: November 12 and 13
  • North Sydney Oval: November 18 and 20
  • Weber WBBL|08 Final, venue TBC: November 26

Tickets are now on sale for all Weber WBBL|08 and KFC BBL|12 games. Information is available on the Big Bash website
