Bio

Liam Plunkett is a professional cricketer and businessman. He was previously a senior International for England, having represented the England Men’s Cricket Team from 2005 to 2019 – ending his England career with England’s triumph in the 2019 ODI World Cup. Plunkett had a memorable finale in that tournament, by picking up 3 big important wickets in the final against New Zealand, including that of captain Kane Williamson.

Liam Plunkett is a right-arm fast bowler, who can bat as well as shown in his ODI and Test stats where he has a fifty each against his name.

After 124 international matches  for England across all three cricket formats, Plunkett transitioned his career to the United States. He has been enjoying his cricket in the US as a Major League player since Feb 2020. He has also been coaching and working with a new travel firm, US Sports Travel.

Plunkett is an experienced franchise cricketer, with a career spanning 18 years for teams all over the world including Karachi Kings, Durham, Surrey, Yorkshire, Kandy Tuskers and Melbourne Stars.

Plunkett holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership.
