Bio
Mike Fordham is currently the Head of League Operations at International League T20. He has held this role since July 2022. International League T20 is a UAE Professional Cricket Sports League, with the first edition of the tournament taking place in January 2023 featuring 6 teams.
Prior to joining ILT20, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at Royals Sports Group from October 2020 to July 2022. Royal Sports Group owns the IPL Franchise Rajasthan Royals.
Previously, Fordham served the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for 4 years. He joined the ECB as the Head of Commercial Partnerships in May 2015 before becoming the Head of The Hundred in November 2016.
Fordham was a Vice President at IMG from April 2005 to May 2015. For the first two years he looked after the sponsorship sales and account management across sports properties including Wimbledon. He was involved in the Indian Premier League since its inception in 2008 as a key member of the IMG team that developed the then newly launched sports league.
At IMG, Fordam was responsible for overseeing the central commercial programme of the IPL including conception of the sponsorship structure, sponsorship sales, sponsor servicing and brand management. He also helped establish IMG Reliance, the joint venture company formed by IMG and Reliance industries Ltd.
Fordham has Bachelor’s and a Master’s with a 2.1 Grade in Social and Political Science from University of Cambridge.
