Victorian fast bowler Cam McClure has signed with the Melbourne Stars for BBL|12.

It will be the first time that McClure has been a member of a BBL squad.

The 21-year-old, who hails from Essendon Cricket Club, made his Marsh Cup debut earlier this year, taking 4 wickets in his first two games.

His good form was also rewarded with a Sheffield Shield debut in March.

“I’m absolutely rapt to join the Melbourne Stars and can’t wait to experience the Big Bash for the first time,” McClure said.

“It’s an exciting time to be at the Stars with internationals like Trent Boult and Luke Wood to learn from, as well as Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa and Marcus Stoinis.”

General Manager Blair Crouch was thrilled to secure another young talented quick on the list.

“It’s great to welcome Cam to the Stars Family and we’re looking forward to his progression this summer.

“Our members and fans have plenty to look forward to and we cannot wait for our first game at the MCG on the 16th December.”
