Bio
Sophie Claire Mcilwain is an England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and South African Cricketers’ Association (SACA) accredited cricket agent, representing cricketers around the world. She was also an Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) accredited agent, having got the license issued in July 2020 with validity until July 2021.
Mcilwain’s clients include both women and men from international teams including the West indies, Scotland, Pakistan and the UAE. West Indian fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell is one of her clients. She works with worldwide franchises and builts commercial partnerships for her clients. She assists athletes to create authentic public profiles via social media.
Previously, she served We Fix Credit (Australia) Pty Ltd, a financial service repairing credit, as a Director from November 2017 to January 2022.
Mcilwain has worked for over 15 years in fashion operations and events, including working as a Manager and Buyer at Christian Louboutin, a fashion retail apparel company from 2010 – 2014.
Mcilwain holds an MBA in Sports Management and a Master’s of Professional Writing from Deakin University. She also holds international certifications in sports business, high-performance analytics and marketing.
Mcilwain is an alumna of Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW), where she specialized in cricket business and advocacy. She has a certificate in Hindi language while she is a qualified cricket umpire and member of NSW Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association (NSWCUSA).
Sophie has a ICC foundation certificate and a CoachED license, which was issued in July 2022. CoachED Cricket is an online cricket coaching education developed to certify cricket coaches globally and is pioneered by Gary Kirsten. She also has a Sports for Good license issued in March 2022 from Torrens University Australia.
Sophie is working on several Metaverse projects for 2022/2023 and is a part of a team creating a Blockchain cricket game and is also licensing NFT content for clients.
