Melbourne Stars: Live music to light up the ‘G in BBL|12

The Melbourne Stars are pleased to announce a huge live music lineup for BBL|12.

After a tough two years for the music industry in Melbourne and Australia, the club is thrilled to be able to support local artists who will play at both the MCG and CitiPower Centre.

It promises to be the biggest lineup of live Australian music that the Big Bash has ever seen.

Friday 16th December – Electric Fields
Friday 23rd December – Rat!Hammock
Tuesday 3rd January – Sycco
Friday 6th January – North East Party House
Thursday 12th January – Sneaky Sound System
Monday 16th January – Memphis LK
Wednesday 25th January – Big Twisty & The Funknasty

Melbourne Stars Head of Marketing and Commercial, Chris MacDonald was rapt to secure some of Australia’s best performers for BBL|12.

“Live music will form a key part of the Melbourne Stars experience for BBL|12 and we look forward to welcoming some of the country’s best artists to both the MCG and CitiPower Centre. 

“We want our members and fans to enjoy the best possible BBL experience and that’s not limited to what happens on the field.

“Our hope is that such a high-calibre music line-up will also attract a new legion of fans to the BBL, with entertainment at its core.

“We’re on track to break our membership record before the start of the season and we can’t wait to see as many of the Stars family as possible at the MCG on December 16 with Electric Fields kicking off our entertainment.”
