The Long Walk

The Melbourne Renegades, in partnership with The Long Walk, are set to host the Big Bash League’s inaugural Little Long Walk ahead of the Melbourne Derby.

AFL legend Michael Long will lead the walk, as part of the BBL’s First Nations Round, beginning at Hub Park and include a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony and a cultural performance.  The Little Long Walk will then leave Hub Park and ‘Walk’ with Longy to Marvel Stadium.

A limited number of people will have the opportunity to ‘Walk’ with Longy onto the ground, sit in a dedicated bay of seats for the match and have a front row view of pre-match activity, including a live performance from Baker Boy.

Baker Boy Live

Ahead of the BBL’s First Nations Round, Baker Boy will headline the Melbourne Derby with a live performance from 6:50PM.

The Yolngu rapper and artist has fast become a star of the Australian music scene.

Only last month, Baker Boy – whose full name is Danzal James Baker – took home five trophies at the ARIA Awards.

He will be performing live from 6:50PM pre-game before the action starts.

 Gades Arcade

The ‘Gades Arcade will be on show once again, with the epic family entertainment zone offering a new dimension for families at the BBL.

Throughout the season, families will be invited to experience an all-new, BBL-first dedicated kids area within the seating bowl of Marvel Stadium.

It features arcade games, mini golf, a barber shop and an area for parents to relax – which will all accessible for free with a general admission ticket, so make sure you check out this exciting initiative.
