ACB officials attend ACC’s members meeting in Bahrain

Afghanistan Cricket Board’s Chairman Mr. Mirwais Ashraf and the CEO Mr. Naseeb Khan, alongside representatives from other member countries, participated in the Asia Cricket Council’s members meeting that took place in Bahrain today.

At the ACC meeting, the topic of improving cricket in Afghanistan and providing additional support to the ACB was discussed. In addition, Afghanistan Cricket Board’s annual budget share was also increased from 6% to 15%. 

At the meeting, Afghanistan Cricket Board’s delegation met officials of PCB, BCCI, and other Asian countries and discussed the possibility of playing bilateral games with them. The outcome of these discussions will be made public soon.

The leaders of the Afghanistan Cricket Board also talked with representatives from two other countries about hosting a potential tri-series for under-19 national teams, the final dates for the event to be announced in the near future.

It should also be noted that similar ACC meetings are focused on promoting the development of cricket among member countries, where they discuss their upcoming games and plan their budget and future strategies.
