The 2023 National Cricket Inclusion Championships (NCIC) have wrapped up today in Brisbane, with Victoria claiming the national titles in both the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and cricketers with an Intellectual Disability division, while New South Wales took home their fourth consecutive national title in the Blind and Low Vison division.

Victoria have retained the national title in the cricketers with an Intellectual Disability division, backing up their 2020 National Cricket Inclusion Championship, with an eight wicket win over Tasmania.

Victoria’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing team claimed the national title over Queensland by 14 runs.

New South Wales remain undefeated in the Blind and Low Vision division after defeating Western Australia by 41 runs in a highly anticipated final round between the two states.

Cricket Australia’s General Manager, Events & Operations Joel Morrison said:

“On behalf of Cricket Australia, I would like to congratulate the winners and all the teams who made their long-awaited return to the national stage this week.

“We saw some incredible performances take place on the field, including an all-time NCIC record partnership of 307 between New South Wales’ Oscar Stubbs and Lindsay Heaven, a century from Western Australia’s Brad Brider and a five-wicket haul by Queensland’s Hayden Brumm to just name a few.

“The National Cricket Inclusion Championships are a wonderful celebration of cricket and inclusion, and I would like to thank CommBank and Taverners Australia for their ongoing support to help us deliver this event.”
