Bio

KS Viswanathan is an Indian Cricket administrator who has been serving the Indian Premier League Franchise Chennai Super Kings as Chief Executive Officer since June 2018.

Viswanathan has been with Chennai Super Kings since the Indian Premier League came into existence. He was on the administration team of the franchise before being named as the CEO.

Previously, Viswanathan served the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) as a Secretary from June 2008 to June 2017. He represented the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association in his capacity as a secretary at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 2016.

Viswanathan has also looked after the cricketing affairs of the India Cements team, which was the first time he stepped foot into cricket administration. Before that he worked in the accounts department for India Cements Limited.

Viswanathan played both junior and senior cricket at the district level. He was signed up to play competitive first division league cricket in Madras at the age of 16.

Viswanathan did his schooling from Sankara Sec School in Thalayathu, Tirunelveli and graduated from Vivekananda college in Madras.
