Bio

Naseeb Khan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Afghanistan Cricket Board on September 20, 2021, replacing Hamid Shinwari.

After his appointment as the CEO, Khan focused on reforming in the organization.

Under Khan’s leadership, the ACB as worked to revamp the entire board structure and revisited its policy-making to make organizational affairs more transparent. The domestic cricket structure was also restored and facilities were upgraded.

Khan raised match fees for the domestic players that were affected economically as compensation for the Covid shortened 2020-21 domestic season.

Khan is also a member of ICC Chief Executives’ Committee and has close relationships and coordination with the ICC on game-relevant matters in Afghanistan as well as relationships with other ICC Member nations for bilateral commitments.

Khan is also a Member of Finance and Marketing Committee of the Asian Cricket Council as an ex-officio.

Khan holds a Master’s degree in Media and Mass Communication from the International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI). He has written more than 100 fiction and short stories on the current circumstances in the country, which have been published in various magazines, newspapers and websites.
