Paceman Craig Young has been declared fit to join up with Ireland Men’s T20I squad in Bangladesh.

Young, 32, made his international debut in 2013 and has played 103 times for Ireland. He has 151 wickets at an average of 25.77.

Part of the Ireland Men’s T20 World Cup squad in 2022, he was forced to withdraw before the start of the tournament and has been back home recovering and rehabilitating since.

Mark Rausa, Head of Physiotherapy and Medical Services for Cricket Ireland, said:

“Craig has joined the T20I squad in Bangladesh after a long lay-off period due to longstanding groin and pelvic issue. He has spent the past 6-8 weeks returning to bowling and completing his rehab after a period of enforced rest, as directed by the medical team and specialists.”
