The Momentum Multiply Titans sit on top of the Division 1 joint log with 62 points at the end of the 2022/2023 domestic season.

The Sky Blues top the Division 1 table 20 points ahead of the team in second place with the points being calculated over two seasons, 2021/2022 and 2022/2023.

Success in the 21/22 4 Day Domestic Series and the 22/23 T20 Challenge earned the Titans maximum points (15) in the respective competitions while finishing runners up in the 21/22 CSA 1 Day Cup and T20 Challenge boded well for the side from Centurion.

“I’m happy that we’ve finished number one on the joint log for the division! For me it’s a reflection of all the hard work we’ve put in the last few years and it speaks to our level of consistency.” Explained Titans head coach Mandla Mashimbyi.

Mashimbyi has made his mark on the Titans side after taking over as head coach in December 2019 and has laid a firm foundation for the successes of the last two seasons. The progress that the Titans have made is a result of Mashimbyi’s imprint and the players buying into his coaching philosophy.

“21/22 was labelled as a ‘coming of age’ campaign and I think we’ve managed to remain consistent as far as our performance is concerned.” Mashimbyi explained.

“I’m very happy with the team winning the joint log.” said Titans CEO Dr Jacques Faul. We are in a very good space at the moment and I’m proud of the players and coaching staff.

“This is not something we should take for granted and the team should enjoy the rewards of their hard work from the last two years. I like the look of the team that Mandla [Mashimbyi] has assembled and they are a close knit unit and get on well off the field.” Faul continued.

The Titans will also be proud of the number of young players that have made their debut in different formats continuing the rich legacy of player production.
