ECB: Revised schedule confirmed for England Women’s white-ball series against Sri Lanka

Following a request from Sri Lanka Cricket due to the confirmation of the women’s cricket tournament at the 2023 Asian Games, the England & Wales Cricket Board have mutually agreed to a schedule change to the England Women’s white-ball home series against Sri Lanka planned for September.

The series will commence with three Vitality IT20s on Thursday 31 August at The 1stCentral County Ground, Hove. Hove has moved from hosting an ODI on Sunday 17 September, to an IT20 on Thursday 31 August, starting at 6.00pm.

The remaining IT20s are at The Cloud County Ground, Chelmsford, on Saturday 2 September and The Incora County Ground, Derby, on Wednesday 6 September.

The three-match ODI series will commence at the Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street, Durham, on Saturday 9 September. Durham originally had an IT20 scheduled.

Northamptonshire’s County Ground will host the second ODI on Tuesday 12 September. Tickets for this fixture have just been released with an early bird price of £8.00 for adults and children’s fixed price of £5.00.

The third ODI will take place at Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicestershire, on Thursday 14 September.

The Spitfire Ground, Canterbury, which was due to stage an ODI in the original schedule, will no longer host a match in this series.

Existing ticket holders for any England Women v Sri Lanka Women fixture will be contacted by their host venue with confirmation on how they have been impacted and any options available to them.

Tickets for all confirmed England Women v Sri Lanka Women fixtures are on sale and can be accessed via ecb.co.uk/tickets.

The Asian Games are scheduled in Hangzhou, China from 23 September 23 to 8 October.

1st ODI: England v Sri Lanka, Saturday 9 September, Seat Unique Riverside, Chester-le-Street

2nd ODI: England v Sri Lanka, Tuesday 12 September, The County Ground, Northampton

3rd ODI: England v Sri Lanka, Thursday 14 September, Uptonsteel County Ground, Leicester
