Cricket Hong Kong, China are pleased to announce the 14-player squad to compete at the upcoming ACC Women’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023, to be held at Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground here in Hong Kong!
The Hong Kong, China team will play against India ‘A’, Pakistan ‘A’ and Thailand ‘A’ in the group stages, with the semi-finals scheduled for Monday 19th June and the finals on Wednesday 21st June.
Kary Chan, Captain of Team Hong Kong said, “We found so much support from our supporters during the East Asian Cup in Hangzhou. We cannot wait to play in Hong Kong, and hope to see lot of supporters cheering for us against teams like India, Pakistan and Thailand!”
The squad sees 6 changes from the team that competed at the recent Exciting Hangzhou 2023 Women’s East Asian Cup, with Vice-Captain Natasha Miles returning to the side, along with Elysa Hubbard, Iqra Sahar, Mariko Hill, Marina Lamplough and Ruchitha Venkatesh.
Tracy Walker, selector for HK Women’s team said, “It is an important and exciting few months ahead for Team Hong Kong with both the ICC World Cup Qualifiers and Asian Games later this year. These games and the quality of opposition will give us much needed experience for the upcoming tours.”
All matches will be broadcast live globally, with free entry at the ground on all match days.
