The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is the governing body for cricket in Afghanistan. It joined the ICC in 2001, became an associate member in 2013, and a full member in 2017. The ACB is also part of the Asian Cricket Council.

ACB’s Former domestic manager Mr. Hasti Gul Abed has been discharged of his duties and has his contract terminated as national coach.

ACB’s Former domestic manager Mr. Hasti Gul Abed has been discharged of his duties and has his contract terminated as national coach. Mr. Abed was convicted of falsification of documents and embezzlement during the 2018 Ghazi Amanullah Khan List-A tournament.

Mr. Abid, who had earlier served at various posts including ACB’s domestic Cricket Manager for an extended period of time, had confessed and accepted the allegations levied against him.  

The decision to end his tenure was taken under Article 6 of ACB’s Human Resources policy which enables the termination of employees if convicted of corruption charges and other such activities.

Afghanistan Cricket Board remains committed in its strong stance against corruption and considers it a priority to ensure transparency in its affairs.
