The Melbourne Stars will begin their KFC BBL|10 campaign in Canberra this year as Cricket Australia confirmed a revised schedule for the competition this morning.

Led by captain Glenn Maxwell, the Stars will take on the Brisbane Heat in their season opener on Friday 11 December at Manuka Oval.

The team will be in action again less than 24 hours later when they take on the Sydney Thunder at Manuka on Saturday 12 December.

Tasmania, ACT, Queensland and South Australia have been locked in for the 21 league matches to be played in December.

The club is also optimistic – based on current COVID-19 case numbers – that a level of attendance will be possible at these matches.

The Stars have already confirmed the signing of towering pace bowler Billy Stanlake and Victorian batsman to add our exciting list which includes Maxwell, Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter-Nile.
