The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), formerly the Board of Control for Cricket in Pakistan, is the governing body for cricket in Pakistan. It oversees and organizes all tours and matches for the Pakistan national cricket team. A member of the International Cricket Council since 1952, the PCB represents Pakistan's men's and women's teams in international cricket tournaments.

After defeating West Indies Women A in the T20 tri-series final held at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan Women A will play two T20s against Thailand Women Emerging at the same venue on 10 and 11 November. The toss will be conducted at 1030 PKT and the first ball will be bowled at 1100 PKT. Both matches will be live-streamed on PCB’s YouTube channel.

Pakistan Women A remained unbeaten in the tri-series, beating Thailand Emerging once and West Indies Women A twice. Thailand Women Emerging lost both their matches in the tri-series.

Pakistan opening batter Shawaal Zulfiqar was named the player of the tri-series for topping the batting charts with 106 runs in three games, including an unbeaten half-century. Wicketkeeper-batter Sidra Nawaz also scored an undefeated half-century, which came against West Indies Women A in the first game of the tri-series.

Omaima Sohail impressed with an all-round performance in the final and was the joint-highest wicket-taker alongside skipper Rameen Shamim in the series with five wickets each in three matches. Thailand Women Emerging captain Thipatcha Putthawong returned with four wickets in two matches. Pacer Humna Bilal and left-arm spinners Anosha Nasir and Saima Malik have three wickets each in as many matches.

Rameen Shamim, captain of Pakistan Women A, while speaking to PCB Digital said: “The tri-series win has given us immense confidence. We are looking forward to the two matches against Thailand and we back ourselves to carry our unbeaten streak from the tri-series with contributions from our well-rounded line-up.”

Thailand Women Emerging captain, Thipatcha Putthawong said: “Even though we lost our previous matches, we have learnt from the mistakes we made. It is a great opportunity for us to bounce back and we plan to win the upcoming matches against Pakistan.”
