Must Read

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has introduced a groundbreaking innovation to its broadcast team—a robotic camera dog, designed to enhance fan experience with a whole new dynamic. The four-legged bot has already captured widespread attention across social media and stadiums alike, signaling the league’s continued push towards immersive and tech-driven entertainment.

During a live broadcast, popular commentator Danny Morrison unveiled the futuristic addition with infectious enthusiasm: “Our newest member of the IPL broadcast team,” Morrison said, introducing the robot dog. “It can walk, it can run, it can greet but most importantly, this is pet vision, which gives a whole new energy, a whole new dynamic to the broadcast. This fellow is absolutely sensational. And it stands on its hind legs and shows the love pose. As I said, be wary, don’t get too close! … We need your help in [picking] a name for it. Stay tuned to the IPL broadcast and you can be a part of the naming of this,” he added.

The high-tech robotic dog—capable of walking, running, jumping, and mimicking lifelike gestures—was designed as part of the league’s effort to blend cutting-edge technology with sports entertainment. Beyond being a visual spectacle, the robot integrates advanced camera capabilities, allowing for unique angles and perspectives on the live action, branded as “pet vision” by the broadcast team.

The IPL also took to social media to fuel the excitement, writing on X: “Hold on! We have a new IPL family member in town. It can walk, run, jump, and bring you a ‘heart(y)’ smile. And…A whole new vision. Meet the newest member of the #TATAIPL Broadcast family.”

Fans have flooded the internet with reactions, many proposing quirky and creative names for the robotic companion. From technological marvel to fan-favorite mascot in the making, the robotic dog is already proving to be a hit.

With the IPL consistently redefining sports entertainment, this new addition marks a bold leap into the future—where innovation and engagement go paw in paw.
