OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1,300 charities supporting people in need across the country.

This year more people than ever before have relied on food relief provided by OzHarvest due to the effects of the COVID-19 health pandemic. This has seen an increase in demand for the food OzHarvest provides.

Each member of Thunder’s BBL|10 squad and title-winning WBBL|06 squad has signed their Indigenous playing shirt to be auctioned. All money raised going directly to provide more meals to those in need across the Thunder Nation.

Designed by Rheanna Lotter, a Sydney-based Yuin woman, the playing shirt symbolises the connection, commitment and inclusivity of the Thunder Nation.

The large circle on the shirt represents the team and the smaller circles represent the supporters, staff, sponsors and wider community.

The large circle is connected to the smaller circles by unbreakable song lines. It is this strong connection between all parts of the Thunder Nation that enables the team to function and compete.

The Indigenous playing shirts were worn in Thunder’s fixtures against the Melbourne Stars (14 November) and the Perth Scorchers (15 November) during WBBL|06 and against the Perth Scorchers (9 January) and Sydney Sixers (13 January) during BBL|10.

Shirts start from $100 with every $1 raised helping to provide two meals.
