The reigning KFC Big Bash League champion Sydney Sixers have continued their impressive run of off-field announcements by re-signing with major partners iiNet and Toyo Tires.

Following last week’s announcement that buy now, pay later platform humm had joined as the Sixers new principal WBBL partner, the club have confirmed they will extend their partnerships with iiNet and Toyo Tires into BBL|10.

The club was also part of a Cricket NSW collaboration with the NSW Government’s Office of Responsible Gambling that will see the state’s four premier cricket brands – the Blues, Breakers Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder promote awareness around the harmful effects of excessive gambling.

The association with iiNet will be for a fruitful eighth season, while the upcoming edition of Australia’s premier summer entertainment series will be the fourth with the Sixers for Toyo Tires.

The Toyo Tires agreement also includes assets within the Sixers’ WBBL portfolio.

Sydney Sixers General Manager Jodie Hawkins said the club was excited to be able to continue to build meaningful partnerships, particularly in such a challenging time for the economy.

“The Sydney Sixers are one of Australia’s premier sporting clubs and these partnerships are recognition of the value two parties can provide each other when they work together,” Hawkins said.

“To be able to secure our ongoing relationship with both iiNet and Toyo Tires in a time of such uncertainty is a testament to that.

“We have been fortunate under the Cricket NSW banner to have continued to work towards inspiring people to love and play cricket during the pandemic and this has included working alongside all of our partners to build our relationships.”

Craig Levy, the Chief Operating Officer at iiNet, said there were some obvious synergies between the leading challenger in the telco market and the Sixers.

“We are delighted to continue iiNet’s long term partnership with the Sydney Sixers,” Levy said.

“We share the Sixers’ passionate commitment to continuous improvement and excellence as we connect Australians to better internet.”

Likewise, Toyo Tires’ Strategy and Marketing Manager, José Angeles, said the partnership has helped put Toyo Tires in front of more Australians than ever before.

“We are excited to extend our partnership for a fourth year as Major Partner,” Angeles said.

“Toyo’s ‘Safe Grip, Safe Trip’ campaign highlighted to BBL fans, young and old, the importance of regularly checking tyres during the busy summer holiday road trip season, with a healthy dose of entertainment on and off the field.”

“This season, Toyo’s partnership with the Sydney Sixers will aim to inspire Aussies to hit the road and safely explore this beautiful land of ours as part of our ‘Make You Move’ campaign, encouraging exploration on Toyo’s popular range of Open Country SUV tyres best known for its reliability.”
