Perth Scorchers English International signing Brydon Carse has been ruled out of the KFC Big Bash League season due to a serious knee injury.Carse tore the cartilage in his right knee during a training session on the Gold Coast ahead of the England Lion’s Australian Tour starting November 23.

He will return home to the UK in the coming days to manage the injury.

WA Cricket General Manager – High Performance Kade Harvey said;

“It’s a real shame for Brydon on the eve of the tournament. We wish him all the best and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

“We are exploring our options to source a replacement player for the tournament which gets underway from Wednesday 8 December.”
