The Melbourne Renegades are pleased to welcome Truck Assist to the team.

Truck Assist, Australia’s leading roadside assistance and truck insurance specialist, will be the Official Presenting Partner for the upcoming Champions League season and the Official Community Partner of the Melbourne Renegades.

This year’s Melbourne Renegades Champions League will commence on Sunday.

Truck Assist General Manager, Alan Hasted, said the partnership is built on a shared goal of connecting communities.

“Nothing connects people and communities together like sport – especially our ‘national game’ of cricket,” Mr Hasted said.

“As a proud Australian organization, Truck Assist knows how hard truck owners and operators work to keep Australian industries moving and the important role this plays for communities and families across the country.

“We’re proud to support Melbourne’s culturally-diverse community and are excited to be aligned with the Melbourne Renegades Champions League.”

The 2021-22 season will be the sixth edition of The Melbourne Renegades Champions League, with last year’s tournament cancelled due to COVID-19.

Six teams will feature – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal – in a Country of Origin, Twenty20 tournament.

The competition aims to increase the number of South Asian cricketers who progress from recreational cricket to professional cricket in Australia, and to showcase the talented South Asian players and match officials living in Victoria.

“We’re excited to have the Melbourne Renegades Champions League back in action again this summer,” Melbourne Renegades General Manager, James Rosengarten, said.

“As a club, we are determined to have a meaningful connection with our community and the partnership with Truck Assist is integral to assisting us in really bringing people together and uniting them through cricket.”
