Marcus Stoinis and Lizelle Lee have been named the Melbourne Stars Players of the Season for BBL|09 and WBBL|05 respectively.
Stoinis, who broke all sorts of records this season, played all 17 matches to finish as the competition’s leading run-scorer with 705 runs which included a record-breaking incredible 147 not out at the MCG.
Stoinis claims back-to-back Player of the Season awards.
Meanwhile Lee played 14 matches to complete the season with 475 which included an unbeaten 103 against the Perth Scorchers at the WACA.
Lee is the only Stars WBBL player to score a century and she now has two to her name!
