The construction work of the stadium, which is being constructed on a 44,000 square meters land, has started since August 19 and the entire project will be completed in a period of 18 months. The Maidan Wardak Cricket Stadium construction project includes land filling, leveling, construction of pavilions, seating for 4,000 spectators, irrigation system and lawn planting, all of which is going on very well.

At the same time, for the purposes of cricket promotion in the country, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is working on the preparation of cricket grounds and training facilities in Nangarhar, Logar, Paktika, Balkh, Zabul and some other provinces. In addition, the construction of a guest house in Kandahar province is also going on very well.
