Lloyd Scott, better known as the man in the vintage diving suit who has raised over £5 million in his 30-year charity fundraising career, is commencing his final charity challenge with the Three Peaks Challenge.
Cricket Scotland CEO Gus Mackay and men’s Head Coach Shane Burger will this Sunday show their support for Lord’s Taverners as legendary fundraiser Lloyd Scott starts his final fundraising challenge at Ben Nevis.
Taking on the Three Peaks Challenge, Lloyd will tackle the 23-mile, 3,064 climb dressed in a 130lb deep sea diving suit and has so far raised almost £4,000 for the Lord’s Taverners – the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity who supports thousands of disadvantaged and disabled young people across Scotland and the UK.
Gus Mackay, Chief Executive at Cricket Scotland, said: “We are looking forward to being at the start of the Ben Nevis ascent to send Lloyd off on his exciting challenge for what is a special occasion.
“The Lord’s Taverners is one of our partners and a wonderful charity that gives young people a sporting chance. To be a part of this fundraising campaign is special to us here at Cricket Scotland. We wish Lloyd and his team all the very best and will follow his progress from start to finish!”

Taking on Scafell Peak, Mount Snowden and Ben Nevis over an eight-day period, this Sunday’s adventure in Scotland will mark the end of a charity fundraising career that began back in 1987 with the London Marathon.
Lloyd has already received the endorsement of national hero Captain Tom Moore when he joined him on a training walk ahead of the start of the challenge.
