Cricket fans will be able to enjoy more action from the comfort of their loungerooms this summer, with a landmark deal between Cricket New South Wales and Fox Sports Australia reached to livestream selected Men’s and Women’s NSW Premier Cricket fixtures.

Starting this Sunday, matches will be available to view via Kayo Freebies, with weekly video highlight packages also posted to Cricket NSW’s social media platforms.

Head of Cricket at CNSW, Greg Mail, said the agreement signaled a momentous occasion for NSW Premier Cricket.

“Cricket NSW is incredibly excited to be able to partner with Fox Sports Australia to deliver more high-quality cricket action to fans across not just New South Wales, but across the nation,” Mail said.

“NSW Premier Cricket is the heartbeat of cricket in Sydney, a place where our clubs compete fiercely each and every weekend, and where our best young talent learn whether they have what it takes to progress into our NSW teams or Big Bash competitions.

“Today’s announcement will further complement our quest to inspire everyone to play and love cricket.”

The two-year deal will see eight men’s Kingsgrove Sports T20 Cup fixtures including finals, along with six McDonald’s NSW Premier Cricket Women’s 50-over matches broadcast online.

“It is great to have women’s cricket included in this landmark deal, and to be able to further support the development of the sport’s next generation of female stars,” Mail said.

Rebecca McCloy, Commercial Director of Sport at Fox Sports, said:

“This two-year deal ensures cricket fans are able to watch and discover the next generation of stars on Kayo before many progress to become household names,” she said.

“Making these Premier Cricket matches available on Kayo Freebies also ensures all Australians have the same access to enjoy the game they love at a community level.

“This partnership expands our breadth of coverage over the summer which includes more than 1300 hours of live match play across the best of men’s and women’s domestic and international cricket.

The first of 14-fixtures to be streamed via Kayo Freebies will see Gordon travel to Hurstville Oval to play St George on Sunday November 14.

Fairfield-Liverpool will play Penrith the following Sunday at Rosedale Oval.  Further fixtures will be confirmed in coming weeks.
