Cricket Scotland has added two new dates – bringing to twelve in total – to the series of forthcoming “town hall” public consultation meetings taking place nationwide in the coming weeks.

The new dates are aimed at cricket communities near to Falkirk & Stirling and Dumfries & Galloway:

  • Stenhousemuir CC – September 13 @ 7pm
  • Dumfries CC – September 18 @ 7pm

In addition to these new dates, the start time for the meeting in Glasgow on Monday August 28 has been changed, from 6pm to 7pm.

The series of meetings across Cricket Scotland’s five regions begin next Thursday, August 24, in Broughty Ferry, organised by SPCU. Every region has organised at least one meeting, but the cricketing community are encouraged to attend any meeting which they choose, regardless of geography or region affiliation.

With less than one week to go until the first meeting, it’s time to take YOUR opportunity to be seen and heard!

This is an open invitation to everyone in cricket at all levels. Cricket Scotland cannot over emphasise the need for the Scottish cricket family to seize this unique opportunity to contribute to the future direction of the game.

If you are a player, coach, parent, volunteer, umpire, club official or an aspiring participant in the game, you are welcome and encouraged to attend one of the meetings, add to the broad mix of views, and take part in focused debate.

In addition to the new meetings above, discussions are ongoing over adding two further targeted meetings in the East and West regions; an update will be provided as these are confirmed.
