The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) expresses deep grief and sadness at the passing of Kazi Shahid Ahmed, eminent sports organiser, noted entrepreneur, and publisher who breathed his last on Monday evening in Dhaka. He was 83. Kazi Shahid Ahmed is the father of BCB Director Kazi Inam Ahmed.

A lifelong official and patron of the renowned sports club Dhaka Abahani, Kazi Shahid Ahmed was serving as its Director in Charge.

The BCB extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to Kazi Inam Ahmed and his family.

The first namaz-e-janaza of the Late Kazi Shahid Ahmed will be held after Duhr prayers today (Tuesday, 29 August) at the Baitul Aman Mosque in Dhanmondi followed by a second namaz-e-janaza after Asr prayers at the Gulshan Azad Mosque. He will be laid to rest at the Banani Graveyard.
