SYDNEY: Australia’s National Selection Panel has named a 15-player squad for the ICC Men’s World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025 against South Africa, set to take place from 11–15 June at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

The squad sees the return of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, and Cameron Green from injury, bolstering a side that ended the WTC cycle with a series win in Sri Lanka and a home series victory over India.

Led by Captain Pat Cummins, the squad includes a mix of experienced Test performers like Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Usman Khawaja, and Nathan Lyon, alongside emerging talents such as Sam Konstas and Beau Webster. Josh Inglis and Alex Carey are both included as wicketkeeping options.

George Bailey: “Exciting opportunity to defend the WTC title”

Chair of Selectors George Bailey commented: “We are fortunate and looking forward to having Pat, Josh and Cam back in the squad.

“The team finished the WTC cycle with an impressive series victory in Sri Lanka following an equally strong summer in defeating India for the first time in a decade.

“Those series capped a consistent performance across the two-year cycle and now presents us with the incredibly exciting opportunity to defend the World Test Championship. It means a lot to the group to reach the final and they are very much looking forward to the challenge South Africa will present at Lord’s.”
