BBL|15 unveils high-impact 2025 schedule with blockbuster showdowns and star players
KFC BBL|15 is set to ignite the summer with a jam-packed schedule of nonstop T20 action, marquee matchups, and international superstars. Cricket Australia today announced the official schedule for the 2025 Big Bash League, with matches set to run from Sunday, December 14 to Sunday, January 25.

BBL|15 begins with Babar Azam’s debut
The season opens on December 14 with Pakistani superstar Babar Azam making his Big Bash debut for the Sydney Sixers against the Perth Scorchers at Optus Stadium. A grand final rematch between the Hurricanes and Thunder follows on December 16, while the Sydney Smash takes center stage at ENGIE Stadium on December 20.
Boxing Day and New Year’s Day double headers return
Boxing Day action will see the Sixers host the Stars at the SCG before the Scorchers face the Hurricanes at Optus Stadium. The Adelaide Strikers host their annual New Year’s Eve clash against the Brisbane Heat, while 2026 opens with another double-header featuring the Renegades vs. Sixers and Hurricanes vs. Scorchers.
Big names, big venues, and big crowds expected
Four clubs will also take games on the road: the Renegades open in Geelong, the Sixers return to Coffs Harbour, and both the Stars and Thunder will host fixtures at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
All 40 regular season matches will run uninterrupted except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The BBL Finals series runs from , with the Grand Final on Sunday, January 25.

BBL|15 matches will be available across Seven, 7plus, Fox Cricket, Kayo Sports, and Foxtel. 30 regular season matches and every final will air live and free on Seven, while all matches are available ad-free on Kayo and Foxtel, with 10 games exclusive to Fox Cricket.
